The journey is long, but we walk together.

In the midst of the disciples’ intense fear, Jesus offers a surprising and gentle act of grace.

And when we strive together for God’s better future, we discover a much more profound and lasting way of being the church.

God’s blessing is pronounced on unexpected people and revealed in unexpected but wholly (holy) profound ways.

Live the dream. Live God’s dream. The kingdom of heaven is near!

There is no easy answer here, but instead, an invitation to active participation.

Before the wilderness, there is a blessing: This is my Son, the Beloved.

The hopes and fears of all the years are met here tonight.

Joseph became an indispensable agent of God’s story, as his wife’s song proclaims: “God lifts up the lowly.”

That is the work and the joy of the gospel.

John the Baptist calls us to prepare the way of the Lord and to repent of the ways that we have hurt creation and each other.

Advent calls us to wake up to God’s promises for us.
