FAITH FORMATION

WEEKLY BIBLE STUDY

Scripture is at the heart of our faith. We gather weekly to explore the readings for the coming Sunday. St. Philip follows a three-year cycle of readings called the Revised Common Lectionary. Readings will be publicized in the weekly e-news. View the readings anytime at this helpful website.

During the program year (September-May), we offer two opportunities:

  • Women's Bible Study | Wednesdays at 9:00 AM

  • Men's Bible Study | Thursdays at 9:00 AM

During the summer (June-August), we consolidate into one opportunity for everyone:

  • Bible Study | Wednesdays at 9:00 AM

NOTE: All Bible studies are currently meeting online via Zoom. Subscribe to the weekly e-news or contact us for the meeting info to join.

ADULT FORUM

We offer regular opportunities for adult faith formation on Sundays. In Adult Forum, we explore a variety of topics related to scripture, faith, social issues, current events, or congregational life.

Upcoming Forums:

  • November 22, 2020, 11:15 AM - Racism and the Church

  • December 20, 2020, 11:15 AM - Illustrated Advent - In Light & Darkness - Week 4 (GLOW Formation)

NOTE: All forums are currently scheduled to meet online via Zoom. Subscribe to the weekly e-news or contact us for the meeting info to join.

GLOW (God's Love on Wednesdays)

We believe that we are better together - all ages, genders, etc. When we do faith formation together, we also experience God in new ways and learn from each other and our different life experiences and perspectives. Learn more about GLOW, our intergenerational faith formation programming.

WOMEN'S RETREATS

We offer occasional opportunities for mini-retreats for the women of St. Philip. This year's retreat for 2020 has been postponed until spring 2021. Please contact Gemma Batty if you are interested in being included in future women's retreat invitations.
