Participate in Covenant Renewal Service in honor of the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation - October 31, 2017
Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, Archbishop of Chicago, and Bishop Wayne Miller of the Metropolitan Chicago Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America will lead an ecumenical prayer service on Tuesday, October 31, 2017, at 7 p.m. at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State St., Chicago, IL 60611.
During the service they will renew the covenant between the two local churches, originally signed by Cardinal Joseph Bernardin and Bishop Sherman Hicks in 1989. All are invited to attend this historic occasion of recommitment to common prayer and witness for unity as Christians.
